Just rewatched BACKROOMS. It's even better the second time. Less shock, more of a sense of the process falling together. There are a couple of these doorways taped on the wall outside the theater, and I'm just sitting here watching people notice them, freak out, then gingerly touch them.
I think enough people have seen BACKROOMS now that I can say just how unnerved I was seeing it weeks early at a small private screening room and then passing this area on the way out of the building.

WIDOW'S BAY really hits its stride in episode 4. The previous episodes are introducing so many characters and situations and horrors and legends and types of humor that they don't really have the clarity they need. Episode 4 strips it down to a single character and a single story in a perfect way.
